and founder, Kim
Burkhardt, earned an MBA from Regis University.
She has a background in
media research, public
opinion polling,
statistical/census in the government sector,
politics, and linguistics.
Ms. Burkhardt's work in
competitive intelligence
reaches the desks of senior
management in multiple
industries. Her paid
civic-to-federal political
engagement began in 2002 and
continues to increase in
scope. Her publications include 'Competitive Intelligence Workbook', 'Business Research: Methods
and Strategy', articles for SCIP's 'CI Review' magazine, and numerous others.
Alison Granger-Brown

Alison Granger-Brown is
currently contracted to
Corrections Service Canada
and has worked with
federally and provincially
sentenced women for over ten
years in a therapeutic
capacity. Her educational
career began with Nursing
training in London England,
becoming a Recreation
Therapist in 1999 and
gaining an MA in Training
and Leadership in 2007. The
combination of this
education and experience
together creates a wealth of
knowledge about issues
relating to women offenders
as well as organizational
culture, wellness, and
leadership through an
appreciative, solutions
focused approach. As a
co-founder of a
Participatory Research team
which started within a
Provincial Custody setting
and is connected to UBC
Medical School, she has
gained expertise in managing
complex research topics and
multi-faceted research
teams. Before returning to
school in 1997 Alison was
proprietor of a successful
retail business in specialty
and imported foods, which
opened in 1988 and was sold
in 2001.
Paul Martinez
